What is a Network Engineer or Network Administrator?
A position as a network engineer or network administrator is something you may like if you enjoy working with a team to create complicated communication systems. The job lets you use analytical skills to design the best way to bring networks together. You can show your leadership ability as you guide a team to create a computer network. It is a higher-level position than network administrator, and it requires you to accept responsibility for the planning and architectural design of a communications system.

Release a dedicated GUI miner for Feathercoin
A guiminer that doesn't just look like a bunch of boxes and has all the Feathercoin pools populated via a web service. And an auto-register button so you can put in your info once, press a button, and start mining on any pool, since most pools use the same interface anyway.

The door
Maybe I am opening already open doors, but as a newbie I see one crucial development. Getting through the door. Being an older person trying to get into this there should be more hard work getting the information out about safe and tried traders, like paypal or the likes. Names people have heard before, I mean, most people won't trust zipzap that comes out of nowhere. The larger group are just like me. We got some cash and are interested, but there are many roadblocks until getting in. Maybe put more effort in step-by-step descriptions, keeping them updated. And, I'm…

Having a visible list of all Feathercoin applications and services
I've been in this forum for months now and I just learned today there's a application that lets me tip with FTC in twitter.
This kind of functions are important to be displayed, so when someone comes to Feathercoin.com wondering "What can I do with this currency, it's easy to see".

Crypto Coin Merchant Adoption League Table
Maybe we could put up some kind of Merchant Adoption League table, listing all coins from Bitcoin all the way to the newest coins with number of merchants accepting said coin, so that people can see exactly what position a coin is in for survival in the long term. I think this would help new people coming into the crypto space decide which coin/coins they should support without having to trawl all of the different coin websites.

FTC savings account
An institution accepts coin deposits then holds them and pays interest as a traditional bank.
Interest is paid in FTC and a proportion of the holdings are traded on the holders behalf to generate the interest payments1 vote -
Feathercoin mortgages
A feather coin credit union or lending company accepts FTC as payments on house purchases.
Same as a traditional lender with the option to accept in coin.1 vote -
Why can't we...
Why can't the feathercoin community set a reasonable, voted on price and spend it as such? Like we all decide 1ftc = $5( 10, 50, etc), and spend it as each one really is $5? would this have any effect on actual price?

Phoenixcoin
Phoenixcoin (Re-Birth) is a positive coin. It was resurected by a Feathercoin developer, the original members were left stranded by the developer bailing. They were part of UNOCS, Feathercoin memebers helped start.
This is a vote to see if Feathercoin members agree.2 votes -

Open source p2p market place
There is a need being highlighted for an open source p2p market place.
Whilst Feathercoins efforts with it's market move in the right direction we have had to compromise on a centralised solution and buy propriety systems to make it work for the members.
With any future solution there might still be some residual central systems, such as reputation. These can be replaced by p2p reputation system once the market has been proved.

I would suggest the market system could be based on Bitmessage technology. Sellers run "miners" which secure the…

Speed Up Feathercoin
So it seems technically that other coins really hype easier real-world use due to their fast confirmation times. Is there anyway we can speed up Feathercoin to be in the 30 second range or less to make it usable for POS type shopping. I couldn't imagine using FTC at this point to buy groceries and wait for it to confirm even a few minutes. Even possible?

Multiple Wallet Pools in one Wallet App
The existing multiple addresses idea should be extended to support multiple wallet pools from the one Wallet app, so for example, if there are speculative funds, mined funds and sales funds, the wallet app can keep separate fund pools for each "received address", rather than having many instances of the Wallet app running on different machines. This enables the user to track the different income streams separately. To enable this to work effectively, transactions out would also need to flag which of the "received addresses" it's to come from to be able to keep the running totals of each pool…
